    • A consent order is an agreement from the creditor to set aside, in this case if you agree a repayment plan. It also reduces the cost of the set-aside to £100 rather than £255.

    • Hi, I received the parking ticket in the post a couple of weeks after I was in the car park at Gillingham ice bowl. I’d been waiting for my grandson to come out. I stayed in the car and because I didn’t know how long he was going to be it didn’t occur to me to pay for parking. I told them that when I got the fine. After that I ignored them because I was indignant about being fined. Eventually they stopped although they did change to a different company. I haven’t heard from them for over six months and out of the blue I get this letter.  I’ve paid for some legal advice which was and wasn’t helpful.

    • I guess we can expect ‘clarification’ from the PM tonight while the sky fills with flying pigs. My best guess on further measures: You can cross parish boundaries as long as you hop on one foot whilst humming happy birthday  Cars can move between different boroughs with differing restrictions as long as the combined ages of the occupants total no more than 90 years If your journey involves crossing county boundaries you need to download a government approved eye test chart and use this as your permit to travel.

    • I’m in desperate need of help

I bought some clothes online in may through Evans and paid through PayPal
returned them all seven days later

I waited the 14days for my refund and no refund came
I put in a dispute through PayPal but I didn’t get any emails to escalate the case - PayPal closed it.
evans said they couldn’t refund the money because PayPal have cancelled the refund because of the open dispute

      I contacted PayPal
they said the dispute had been closed but Evans at no point had attempted a refund.
      fast forward to today

I’ve got copies of numerous messages sent to and from twitter messages as it’s the only way I can contact them
I’ve also contacted their customer service too
all I get is PayPal have cancelled refund because dispute is still open.

I have proved that the dispute is closed
I have got an email saying that if Evans sent the refund they would accept it
but up until the date I got the email they have not once attempted a refund .

I have sent them a letter before court email
I have even offered to have the full refund as a gift card just to get this sorted !

I’m literally at the end of my tether and don’t know where to turn next !

i suffer with mental health issues and this is affecting my health and I’d saved the money for a year to buy these clothes as I’m on a low income .

Hi,

I have just recieved a debt letter from baliffs regarding a parking ticket I recieved on 07/09/2009.

I sent 3 emails to Nottingham city council contesting the tickets and never recieved a reply and unfortunatly forgot to chase this.

According to the baliff I actually recieved two tickets for the offence and each are now at £257.11 giving me a total of £514.22 to pay in 48 hours!

Aside from the fact that the council never replied to my emails, what I need to know is can I recieve two tickets for the same offence in one day?

I have dug out a letter from the council stating the offence of " parking in a residents or shared use parking place without clearly displaying a parking permit" there was one ticket on my car at the time however the follow up letter from the council states one ticket was given for the offence at 09.06am and another ticket for the same offence at 14.42pm the same day.

Am I in my rights to contest this and minimise it to the one payment or is this correct and I was just unlucky!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Dan.

Did you receive documentation entitled "Notice To Owner"? If so what did you do with it?

And did you respond to them?

If you were parked in the same place under the same restrictions then you should have only had 1 PCN. If the restrictions changed then you can get two tickets (say for example in a CPZ parking is restricted 8am-11am and 2pm-7pm you can get two tickets if you were parked from 9am to 3pm).

My advice to you is to pm "tomtubby" and post these details in the bailiffs section. You need to fill in some legal forms which I have no experience of so cannot give accurate advice. Basically I think you have to make a statement that you didn't receive either charge certificate or order for recovery (if truthful). That should help you out. Whether you get the opportunity to pay at NTO rate or with the 50% uplift I don't know.

If at the NTO rate you may get the opportunity again to appeal - if there are reasons to do so but that is for another day.

Best of luck.

....or left and reparked

I would try contacting the Council on the phone first and tell them to call off the baliffs and take it back to cc stage but if they play hard ball you need as BTB stated to fill in some forms asap.

ok thank you very much for your help, I will contact the council today :-)

Tell them that you have not received charge certificates and order for recovery for both PCNs thats 4 letters that seem to have disapeared, 1 could be down to the Postie but 4 means someone somewhere has messed up, assuming you have not moved since you sent off your v5 (logbook).
