Hi, I have had my eyes tested with specsavers but when the bi focals came they were the wrong ones intended for someone else!. After a month long wait they could not find them and gave me a refund just to get rid of me!. I am on tax credits and now I believe I could get them on this?. I still have my prescription from specsavers so could I use this to get a pair of free bi focals from somewhere else through tax credits?.

You are eligible for an NHS voucher only if you had the Tax credits at the time of your sight test. The voucher can be issued only by the Optician that does the test but can be use somwhere else. If you where eligible for the voucher when the test was done you can go back to Specsavers and ask for it.However if you become eligible for the tax credits at a later date you have to wait untill your next test is due and that is ussualy every 2 years.

Hope that helps,
