Hi, I have just started out down this route and after reading many forums I think I need to get something to record telephone conversations I am expecting to have with debt calls. Only thing is I havent a clue where to look, what to look for and very little money to spend.

Can someone who knows something about this please give me some advise as I would prefer to be prepared beforehand and not afterwards - lessons learnt from the forums - yippee.

Thanks

Hi there, if you were ringing from your mobile phone, look at the options on the screen and somewhere it may say record. My mobile phone is nearly 10 years old and i can record telephone conversations. It saved under your saved sounds. :-) hope this helps.

In addition to the more expensive options, you can get an adaptor plug that fits between your wall socket and your phone handset, it has a flying lead with a 3.5mm jack on the end wgich fits most digital and tape based recorders. There is a 'WatsonMike' which is a small mile wrapped in foam that you place in your ear, and use any phone (mobile or fixed), and you plug the mike into a reocrder as before. There are limpet induction mikes that stick to the side of standard phones, getting the right location can be tricky, but this is the cheapest option, again using a small personal cassette or digital recorder to store the call details.

Hi

Welcome to The Consumer Action Group.

I am just letting you know that as you haven't had any replies to your post yet, it might be better if you post your message again in an appropriate sub-forum. You will get lots of help there.

Also take some time to read around the forum and get used to the layout. It is a big forum and takes a lot of getting used to.

Once you start to find your way, you will soon realise that it is fairly easy to get round and to get the help you need.

It can be bit confusing at first.

Please be advised that my time will be limited for the next few weeks. Thanks for your understanding.
