Natwest and Cancelled Cheque

My partner cancelled her cheque book in April. In June she had a cheque go out by on of those Payday loan companies, who had previously been told not to cash them as we wanted to arrange alternate payments.


Natwest have admitted they did not let the cheque go though, as both the entire book and card were cancelled months beforehand, however someone in branch manually keyed it in on the 2nd attempt.


They have made us go the fraud route, and so far we have filled all the forms out 3 times and had no response, regardless of the amount of times we have harrassed them in branch and over the phone.


They now want us to do it AGAIN, and its getting ridiculous. We need the £86 the cheque was for, what can we do?
