You must call your bank and cancel your card. Payday companies will lie through their teeth and tell you they wont take money from your card BUT THEY WILL. They have done it me more than one time. I learnt the hard way. Make any replayments by online transfer or by paying cash into their account. Do not trust a word they say. they will lie to you all the way.

Hi

Thanks for advice, After weekend I will phone the bank and cancel card. I did read in another post that they may try to submit a dd but I will keep my eye out for that.

For anyone who is considering these loans DON'T! They just give money away to anyone, I lied on one application and they gave me £300 no questions,

I owe QQ and they seem to be quite difficult, but we'll see, once they realise I can't pay yet. I'll keep you posted

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi

I cancelled my bank cards, and opened a Halifax account. I had the 1st email from Wonga today, I should have paid, however I only owed them £15.00, which was £43.00 when I checked last night, now they are saying I must contact them with £250.00 [which was the orignal loan] and interest!! Can anyone advise my next steps please

Thanks
