Dear Consumers

Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong section

I have today recieved a call from FTC saying they have taken over my Capital One debt, though I didnt stay and speak to them as I was at work

admittedly, and I know its not a valid excuse, I have ignored my capital one payments for 3 months and phone calls from Capital one as I am trying to save for a wedding in 6 weeks... but I guess all this has achieved is damage to my credit rating, I am about £150 over my credit limit

what I want to know and need help on is, should I pay or try and arrange a payment plan with FTC?

or should I call capital one and just make regular token payments?

has anyone had any experience in this scenario? or can anybody please offer some help/ assistance

thank you

There will probably be late payment fees and over limit fees added to the account you could claim back. Any PPI (Insurance) on the card? If there is you could claim that back as well.

Hi

Welcome to The Consumer Action Group.

I am just letting you know that as you haven't had any replies to your post yet, it might be better if you post your message again in an appropriate sub-forum. You will get lots of help there.

Also take some time to read around the forum and get used to the layout. It is a big forum and takes a lot of getting used to.

Once you start to find your way, you will soon realise that it is fairly easy to get round and to get the help you need.

It can be bit confusing at first.

Please be advised that my time will be limited for the next few weeks. Thanks for your understanding.
