I wonder if anyone can help me. Today I received a claim form from Northampton County Court From Egg / Bryan Cater. In the particulars of the claim, they state that monthly installments I agreed to pay under a ref no have failed to be paid and they are claiming the full amount of 2K.

Before I go through the mountain of paperwork that relates to this (this has been pushed around a number of DCA's and I have issued CCA requests, none responded to) what should be my immediate course of action. I have never received one of these before and its strange as I have two debts with Egg, but this only relates to one of them. From what I remember of this, it was with a DCA and I was paying monthly then after finding Consumer Debt Forums, I entered a CCA request to hem, they did not respond and later it come up again from another DCA. Another CCA issued, no response.

With regards to my status, I am currently on Job Seekers allowance, out of work for over a year, living with parent and in quite a lot of credit card bank loan debt due to trying to balance a ltd company with card funds. Unfortunately, ltd company had to be liquidated and up until last year, very little income.

Thanks in advance for any advice and assistance you can offer.
