    • we will need more details of hjow the phone sim ad bank accout are linked and why insurance seems to be what they are grouching about. Start at the beginning, name the bank and phone provider and whilst you are at it go through your bank statements to see if there is anything that resembles what yiyu are accused of. Also look at your credit files and see who has been  putting their feet all over it. if you have a great block of red inkl courtesy fo a phone provider them that will be the link but also understand that you might not have bought a data contract but some other product linked to the phone or not connected to it in any way
    • so they have wasted a bit of time on something that is pointless for both parties. A bank statement is not proof of debt, even if it shows the account is in the red because the terms of the account and any other associated accounts were not included. Who knows, the Norwegian bank may have agreed a contract with you that says you dont have to pay them unless you feel like it nd what proof do CLI have that isnt the case? If you havent paid a bean since 2013 they cant collect anyway as they will have to use UK law to make a claim so debt is SB and if you havent serviced the debt in Norway since 2008 they are dead in the water there, assuming they want to pay for a ferry trip for you in the first place
    • Looking for some advice, back in 2015 I bought a ee sim card for data not a mobile phone and it was not on a contract it was a monthly thing where as I understood I paid £20 and had 20gb of data to use.   I stopped topping up after 2 months and the data stopped, after applying for a c/c I was refused and my bank account was cancelled and I was told to check CIFAS file and was shocked to find   First party fraud - (Opening an account or other facility for a fraudulent purpose or the fraudulent misuse of an account or facility;or taking out an insurance policy for a fraudulent purpose or the fraudulent misuseof an insurance policy and/or insurance policy documentation)   Which looks like they are saying I opened my bank account to commit fraud, I had the bank account 7 years before.   So any ideas how I go about getting this removed
    • The SRA should take action but they dont and I think one of the reasons is the lack of court cases to show  malfeasance.
    • I am a bristol energy customer and last month my payment was incorrectly entered as being £xx.72 instead of £xx.73 so the extra penny was added to this month's bill to correct the error. A day after I got the new bill their debt collection people are on the phonme to me demanding I pay my arrears. Now ignoring the fact that it was only 1p for a moment it had already been agreed that the shortfall be commuted to the new bill so why on earth was it then sent to the debt management department? When I spoke to the apologetic member of staff there- not the person who phoned me, I wouldnt entertain giving them personal details over the phone to a cold caller- I popinted out that it would have cost them a minimum of £4.40 at minimum wage to go through with this charade. Do the people who are tasked to harass people not nother to read what is in front of them or do thay as it was intimated just grab a bundle of computer printouts and get phoning people and then have to work on the fly when they get caught out. I think I know the answer but their superiors should be held to account for placing their lower paid people in an invidious position and stop making them look stupid.

    • Hi,
I was in Sainsbury’s today and did scan and shop.
I arrived in after a busy day at work and immediately got distracted by the clothes.

I put a few things in my trolley and then did a shop.
I paid and was about to get into my car when the security guard stopped me and asked me to come back in.

I did and they took me upstairs.
I was mortified and said I forgot to scan the clothes and a conditioner, 5 items.
I know its unacceptable but I was distracted and Initially hadn’t really planned to use scan and shop.

      No excuse.
I offered to pay for the goods but the manager said it was too late.
He looked at the CCTV and because I didn’t try to scan the items he was phoning the police.

The cost of the items was about £40.
I was crying at this point and told them I was a nurse, just coming from work and I could get struck off.

They rang the police anyway and they came and issued me with a community resolution notice, which goes off my record in a year.
I feel terrible. I have to declare this to my employer and NMC.

They kept me in a room on my own with 4 staff and have banned me from all stores.
The police said if I didn’t do the community order I would go to court and they would refer me to the PPS.

      I’m so stressed,
can u appeal this or should I just accept it?

      Thanks for reading

HSBC complaint Hardship, all letters paperwork copied & sent to OMB incl I&E filled in order and received by them, they send letter to say HSBC say no reply to their letter asking for I&E and any help, LIES, copy of I&E there, also DG solicitors (HSBC) credit card problem have I&E for so called court case, so on two fronts HSBC knew contents of I&E, also when range as per their letter, to be told overdraft/ charges etc turn into further loan?, Ah FSA rules say not to do this??? therefore I had a few weeks to respond or forget it also OH signature would be required as joint account which she does not use as have her own for donkeys years & HSBC rep says could not remove her on so many occasions. Further OMB Cap one default charges claim useless they say back 6 years from complaint only, they accept figures from Cap one (they cannot do maths either) which grossly incorrect, and I should accept silly amount of Hundreds short of actual claim. GET RID OF OMBUDSMAN DISERVICE, I and other on here could do a better job????

FOS uphold a majority of complaints, perhaps you should look at it from different eyes and you may realise you are wrong.

Not wrong, when letter evidence in front of them to read. Then indicating what is in front of them is not actualy there? No as has been reported in press and forums utter rubbish they are, I can twist figures to suit as well.

Twist How?

What kind of twisting are you suggesting there is? Do you understand the figures?

Or are you just unhappy you didn't get the result you wanted?

Letters (copies) in front of them, only to be told I had not supplied the implied letters incl (I&E) which was itemised (copies) in the pack of complaint bundle they had in front of them, also when figures are brought to their attention, then they are misled by Bank with submitted figures which are irrelvent to the actual subject.

No, no, the figures on how many complaints are upheld - you said 'I can twist figures as well'.

The content of my post was in relations to a complaint, figures submitted by an institution which were incorrect in relation to a complaint (subject) to hand. Not interested in of how many upheld cases, so the subject you are on about is non existent in subject line I refer.

Hello AK,

The figures can be easily found on the FOS website.

The percentage of complaints upheld by the Ombudsman service has reduced by 7% compared to last year. As an example only 20% of complaints about Current Accounts and only 37% of complaints about mortgages are upheld by the Ombudsman service

The subject was figures I supplied in relation to my complaint about an institution who sent wrong figures which were different to my submitted figures (actual) which formed part of my complaint against said institution has no relevance to what your are on about.( FSA FIGURES REGARDING NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS.) Subject of twisting figures were those submitted by outside company I was complaining about, A claim I am pursuing.
