Obviously this has been on the news a couple of days ago.

For those that dont know, the government are planning to ban clamping on private land (currently clampers have to be licensed).

So how would that affect the already doomed bailiff industry, as private clamping would no longer be allowed, so that would mean bailiffs couldnt clamp any vehicles, full stop!

Discuss :) hehehe

It will ultimately depend how the legislation is worded, but I would be very surprised if it affected any action by public bodies.

Post by me are intended as a discussion of the issues involved, as these are of general interest to me and others on the forum. Although it is hoped such discussion will be of use to readers, before exposing yourself to risk of loss you should not rely on any principles discussed without confirming the situation with a qualified person.
