Sorry, forgot to ask if I could also claim back the late payment fees on the account, they were £15.00 a time?

Also, would I be entitled to add the 8% interestlink3.gif up to todays date, or until the money is refunded back to me?

Sorry for all the questions, this is all new to me, I've just been told - "don't forget to claim the interest on the amount settled too".

How do I work that out? Such a lot to remember.

Apolologies for posting here also, but nobody was available to answer my thread in the HFC Section.

I don't think I had a rebate either, I have all the papers, cca etc, no mention of any rebate, just late payment fees and £7,841.91 which is what I paid to settle the debt.

Thanks to anyone willing to help.

urm..

something def not right here.

almost 50% extra ontop of your loan for just £8k.

yes you can reclaim ALL insurance +8% stat from the date of the ppi element of each months payment to the date of your claim

you can do the same with charges too!

you need to also CAREFULLY consult the statements to see if they charged interest on the charges too

if they did , you can compound this at their rate + 8 stat from the date of the charge to the date of your claim.

see my threads in hfc forum

Have they broken any APR rules or something? What would you advise on the large interest amount, can anything be done about that?

On the sheets I have which shows my payments, it states:

UDD Fee :Assess £15.00

Late Payment :Assess £15.00

Thats all thats on there along with my monthly payments.

Is there anyone here who could work out what I can claim back? It would be a great help to me.

Thank you.

Apparently, I should have had a rebate in the region of £800, but was never given this (This has only just come to light) I've only recently discovered this.

What would you advise next step to be? Would that be deemed unfair or wrong, that I wasn't informed about this, or should I just ignore that fact?

Ah, I don't know what compound means, thats why I have requested somebody do this for me.

I just know I would do it wrong and come up with the wrong amount.

Thank you.

Hi

I have taken about 20 pics and this is the only clear one, but missing figures, so the figures are as follows:

Amount of Loan £8,000.00

Add £4,463.80 Interest (APR 20 8%)

Total sum payable £12,463.80

----------------

Life (J) £836.54

ASU (Y) £1,294.27

Total Cash Price £2,130.81

Add £1,188.99

Total sum payable £3,319.80

Would I be right in charging 8% stat interest from 2003 up to the date I made my claim - August 2010?

This is the information somebody gave me who was successful in their claims, as they said I was deprived of the monies, I could claim it back, up to date of claim.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please.

Hope you can see this, don't understand it!

On statement, it says 2nd and 3rd rows down:

Rebate Paid CR = £836.54 and

Rebate Paid CR = £1,294.27 on 8/03/03

I only signed for the loan in March 03, didn't start payments til 4th April 03.

Do you think that is a bit odd, I've just had a letter offering to pay me £800.00 something, cos I had no rebate when I settled the loan in September 04. That is weird.

It also shows:

UDD fee = £15, whatever that means, and

Late Fee = £15

Can I claim for these fees too?

come on.

get some decent pictures

help us to help you.

the ppi will be 55.33 + 8% stat for every payment you ACTUALLY made from that date [each month] to the date of your claim.

then add up the payments made {minus the 8%)

and take that away from the PPI total of the loan [cash price]

that then get removed from the loan total, giving you whats outstanding on the loan today.

Ok, Thank you DJ.

Could somebody tell me this then, if I should have had a rebate paid to me in 2004, 'which I did not have', amount = £817.89, would I be entitled to charge 8% interest on that £817.89 for each month that I was deprived of that money to the date of claim?

That rebate was legally my money and they did not give it to me when they should have, I had no rebate!

How do I work that out then dx?

8% from its date? Sorry, but I just don't get it! If they should have paid me that rebate in 2004, but they didn't, surely, it has accrued interest, but how the heck do I work that out.

Then I need to add the PPI to that figure plus 8% stat interest, plus the late payment fees, thenthe settlement figure and the interest on the settlement figure.

I would say that is a fair amount.

Somehow I need to crunch the figures, this is my problem.
