One of the ATMs retained my card recently, when rang the Tel Enquiry, they told me to call the A/c holding branch. Did the same and they informed that a letter was sent to me two days earlier, I requested for the copy again and they sent a tele banking secret pin number letter. Since I never requested the telephone banking service, I called again & told the same to the branch. They told to ignore the letter and make a request to re-order the debit card from my new address since I am moving to a different area. Reached the new area over the weekend and visited the local branch, they informed all my accounts are closed and issued me with a Cheque of the balance amount. Upon request, the staff DIDNOT give any reason. Also the 08453000000 number advisor cannot give any reason and told me to write a letter to Lloyds, PO Box-1, BX1 1LT. Wrote a recorded delivery letter and waiting for a reply.


NB: I am holding this salary crediting(£1200+ monthly) account for last 4 years, with three savings alongside, no overdraft, no fraud or any other issues till date. I have the Airmiles duo credit card with £4000 limit and payment protection, use them within £500 and settles all the balance in the same month

Could you clarify why you think you have the right to a notice?

Any typos spelling mistakes are due to leprechauns in my keyboard they move the letters around sometimes (edited for bookworm god bless her sole) Deep Peace be with you.

I had £2500+ in my account & they gave a CHQ for the amount. I think I have every right to a notice since (a) this was my primary account for the last 5 years to which my salary getting deposited every month without a break, (b) no overdraft, © no fraud activities or irregular cash/CHQ deposits or withdrawals or transfers (d) no charge claims or legal actions (e) keeping monthly settling off of my Airmiles Duo credit cards balances with payment protection. Worth getting help from regulators ????
