what grounds is the first person claiming I.S on

if that person were a lone parent then their claim would close and the other person with the IB could make a new joint IS claim for them both

If the person was on I.S as a Carer and in receipt of Carers Allowance then their claim to I.S would remain open and they would make a joint claim for the person with the I.B

If the person was on IB themselves then again the claim to I.S would stay open and they would claim for the person with IB on a joint claim.

 

Any IB this second person is getting would be taken into account on the new claim.

If none of the above apply, post a few more details :)

If she has IB as well because of the Ill health then she can put the partner on to the exisiting claim :)
