Hi Guys,

Dont want to post any specifics. But in a nutshell. A certain high street bank has been recording a DEFAULT marker on my credit profile incorrectly for 5 years for an amount just over 10k.

This has denied me all forms of credit.

I am not a greedy person but want to ensure I am fairly compensated. The FOS sound like they are having kittens calculating something like this.

So in your opinion, what would be 'fair'?

this sounds good news for you. Glad it looks like being sorted.

I take it Fos have confirmed this to you.

Don't jump in, wait and see what happens. Plus, take the advice of other posters.

I can't really advise what is fair but suggest you think about what credit you have applied for and been declined in that time. Experian should be able to release that information to you. The fact that you were denied that credit had an impact. Did you apply for credit at a higher rate for example ie loan mortgage, car etc.

There's the emotional issue as well, which is more difficult to quantify and possibly, in some cases relationship difficulties.

Any advice given by me is based solely on my experience in claiming, my experience in CAG or my opinion. I have no legal background. I want to encourage others to reclaim what is theirs.

Got a DCA breaking OFT guidance. Complain to the OFT about the DCA. Help put an end to these practices-
