Transcom

Morning All,

A couple of weeks back I had a letter from a firm called Transcom demanding a large sum of money apparently from a mortgage I had approximately 10 years ago.

I replied from my current address using a templated letter stating I had no knowledge of the account and signed off as the occupier.

Transcom have now come back wanting a copy of my driving licence and birth certificate to support the claim that I am not the owner of the account.

I could really do with some top tips on my next step please in dealing with this letter and would be extremely grateful for all help received.

Don't Give them anything, you don't have to prove who you are. They are fishing, its down to them to gather the info, It might be a ID theft [problem] for all you know.

Take a more posative step and SAR them, they have to respond.

Its like we are gonna hang you and can you help by building the scaffold....

SAR them, see what they have.
