    • And as for “what if I get sick the last week” (or those last three days)......   well, you’d get sick pay. Would you go into your new workplace?   HMRC may not be bothered by 2 overlapping jobs of course, but if NHS CFS (counter fraud And security) noticed that either: a) you were claiming over-lapping sick pay for 2 jobs, or b) you were claiming sick pay for one job while well enough to turn in for the other: expect them to view at least one of the sick pay claims as fraudulent!   if you annoy your “difficult” manager : they might be difficult enough to highlight it for the local NHS CF specialist
    • Hello, Can someone advise if the attached is a valid charge please?  I had parked in the car park and paid but then got delayed and have ended up with a ticket for parking longer than I should have done.   I know they will refuse the appeal but is this charge enforceable?   Charge Notice.pdf
    • The dealer is called Carwise in Epping. It's not the most established of premises. When i was there i'd say there was about 10-15 cars inside and an office. I've seen these reviews of them which seem to replicate my experience. https://www.cardealerreviews.co.uk/dealership/hr-autos-epping-essex-england (note previous name). It's quite worrying.
    • To me, it isn't just about social distancing and hygiene measures. I'm far from the first to say it but until there's a reliable track and trace system, I don't think this can be managed properly.   Children may not suffer as much as adults, although some do, they can be asymptomatic and pass on the virus to the rest of the family.   https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/uk-news/lockdown-david-king-second-wave-18739973
    • When will most schools actually re-open in September ?   And when they open, will they be providing teaching over the number hours 9am to 3pm  ?   I am thinking of the school I attended, which was a large Victorian building, with many modern extensions.  The classrooms which could accommodate about 35 Children elbow to elbow, will only be able to accommodate 20 at the most with any reasonable distancing.   Or does the whole class  of say 35 stay in a bubble and the teachers move around to teach the different subjects ?    I can see many schools opening later in September, not for all pupils for all days and not doing the full hours.   This is going to be very difficult to manage for all those concerned, including parents looking to return to work.

    • Hi,
I was in Sainsbury’s today and did scan and shop.
I arrived in after a busy day at work and immediately got distracted by the clothes.

I put a few things in my trolley and then did a shop.
I paid and was about to get into my car when the security guard stopped me and asked me to come back in.

I did and they took me upstairs.
I was mortified and said I forgot to scan the clothes and a conditioner, 5 items.
I know its unacceptable but I was distracted and Initially hadn’t really planned to use scan and shop.

      No excuse.
I offered to pay for the goods but the manager said it was too late.
He looked at the CCTV and because I didn’t try to scan the items he was phoning the police.

The cost of the items was about £40.
I was crying at this point and told them I was a nurse, just coming from work and I could get struck off.

They rang the police anyway and they came and issued me with a community resolution notice, which goes off my record in a year.
I feel terrible. I have to declare this to my employer and NMC.

They kept me in a room on my own with 4 staff and have banned me from all stores.
The police said if I didn’t do the community order I would go to court and they would refer me to the PPS.

      I’m so stressed,
can u appeal this or should I just accept it?

      Thanks for reading

Hello

I was involved in an accident in 2008 to my lower back after my previous employer had failed to provide manual handling training as I asked for an induction and declined..

I claimed for this injury and liability was admitted subject to causation later full admission of liability was give/

I had lots of problems including phone calls to my GP without my consent, three occupational health reports, the final occupational health report no one never assessed me in person and claimed I am better. My GP is not happy with words in his mouth especially as now I can no longer do ten pin bowling, play the keyboard or learn how to drive..

I was forced to resign due to ill health from relapse from an incident in February 2010 when I had been limmping due to one of my symptoms and I got called in to a room and asked if i had been shot, my injuries distracted the team I was called an old man and my report discussed in the open e.g. my manager shouting that the report said I was better and I would be ignored when I was in pain - I was constantly told off for talking to people and I told HR that I was told off and was told "I will not talk to you then".

My initial claim settled but they ignored some of my lost salary. I have a new claim going f or the relapse e.g failure to provide me a step ladder, an adjustable in height trolley and a cushion. I was not supposed to be pushing the trolleys as the firm sent out 2000-3000 letters a day in 3 kilos each on a trolley or possibly more and I was told no lifting over 3 kilos in the first occupational health report and the paper to fill the printer was not in individual reams.

I said I was not thick when i tried to show my manager something and he said "but you are" then I was in tears and he wondered what he did to upset me.

I left on the advice from my GP and my physiotherapist has agreed pushing the trolley had put more strain on my lower back

My solicitor is claiming my future lost salary back and pension after the OH failed to comply with the first occupational health report and from the work related stress as I was doing 8 jobs in one day when on average other colleages were doing 3 or 4 and they were taken off with their bad backs off the post etc.

I had done the work the rest of the team had done but they took me off it they argued that I could not retain information or could not physically see what was on a piece of paper however I had a squeak in my ear due to a malfunction in my hearing aid which I replaced and cost a lot of money. It will be argued that I passed a three month contract doing this work and passed the six month probation period doing it however I was not told of my mistakes till 9 months after this and I was getting 95-100 percent accuracy rate, some time 110 percent.

If I claim for the Benefit would my previous employer be contacted and would it affect my new personal injury claim going out and would it affect my Disability Living allowance decision. I am awaiting to hear about the DLA but have not heard as yet.

Many thanks

I was accused of writing the letter from my GP and that I had written it to get out of doing the shredding.

They claimed I had conditions from birth despite all reports saying entirely accident related.

They also claimed I had dozed off in my manual handling training which I got two months after but I had not been advised of the dozing off claim till a year after the training session I was however just screeching in pain

Other colleagues were on £3000-£6000 a year more than me and allowed to do over time etc.

IIDB may contact your previous employer, yes. If IIDB is granted it will not affect DLA because DLA is not an income related benefit.

You would need to ask your legal advisor if IIDB would affect your personal injury claim - I wouldn't have thought so.

Neither DLA or IIDS would cease if you returned to work. Neither are means tested and neither are awarded based on employment status.
