After sending a letter in writing to Halifax regarding all of the unknown bank charges and interest that keeps occuring on my bank account, I received a response stating that this is all down to me, and that they have no responsibility to provide help or admit wrong doing on their half.

I have been advised to to contact the Halifax debt management team.

The story goes:

I had a £1500 overdraft (interest free) on my halifax student account. For some reason, I have incurred over £800 of charges, and it is these charges that has tipped me over my overdraft limit (as I had plenty of money in the account prior), and I am now being charged interest on a weekly basis, for something which is not my fault.

Any advice on how to proceed is appreciated, as it seems I am not getting anywhere with standard letters.

Thanks
