There is a time limit on your ability to edit, 5 minutes I think.

I noticed that too, when I was posting in the REO thread I believe. I later noticed an Edit button, and assumed it was still under developement, thus the late entry of the edit function...Obviously that is not the case, and you have to be quick to edit . The reason I thought it was still being revamped, was that the sticky topics at the top of this section are now a kind of orangy colour, whereas before, just after I noticed the new look, they were not orange.

 

I often find stuff at a later date I need to edit!

Hi,

 

I would think there's a time limit on editing posts to avoid the occasional person who leaves wanting to remove all their old posts, or someone returning to spam, hence making a nonsense of various threads.

 

Perhaps one option is to quote the posts that, in your opinion, are incorrect and write a reply which explains your thoughts.
