First of all how are we suppose to know which area you are in!? Most solicitors will give you an initial free appointment but you need one which specializes in motoring matters.

Secondly, would there be by any chance any CCTV camera in the location? Or someone you know happended to be walikng past at the time and witnessed what happend? Perhaps if you give us the location we can see if it is covered on Street View.

The overall problem you have is that if you elect to go to court and challange this, you run the risk of paying out more in costs although I fully understand how you feel.

Regardless, isn't the burden of proof on them to prove you went through on red?

The above post constitutes my personal opinion on the facts in the post compared with my personal knowledge of the applicable legislation. I make no guarantees of its legal accuracy. If you are in doubt seek advice of a legal professional specialising in the area concerned.

for all the hassle you may get in court, it is easier to pay the £60.00, then move on, less stress, i know someone who had a parking ticket they disagreed with, and carried it on and on, they got stressed out with it all, and are unfortunately no longer with us, sometimes it is just easier to pay it.

MY ADVICE IS BASED ON COMMON SENSE AND KNOWLEDGE FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, I AM NOT LEGALLY TRAINED, AND ALWAYS CHECK LEGAL ISSUES EITHER WITH A LEGAL PERSON, OR

THE APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

IF I HAVE HELPED, PLEASE PRESS MY STAR, THANK YOU.

As I mentioned in my previous post, sorce a solicitor who specializes in motoring matters who will give you an intital free consulation. They will give you advice on how to proceed. Personally, I would fight it all the way if I knew 100% I had'nt commited the offence. I wouldn't of excepted the fixed penalty either. Where was the policeman by the way when you went through the lights?
