When checking the message it was in non english apart from the end when it said god bless, or words to that affect.

Could this be some religous [problem], or has anyone got any ideas who this could be ? number starts 07807 and when I tried 1471, the number was given as the landline I answered from, which was strange, it also said it was a voice text.

That is a diverted number from an overseas call centre, there are a lot of these going on at the moment.

I got three at work in the last two days, had fun with one who wanted to know what assets I was leaving in my will and they could do me a willwriting service.. I explained they had come through to a London Underground office and they said the number would be deleted.

I have also had a spate of those 'You can claim up to xxx for the accident you had recently (which one and where? haven't had an accident in ages now!) emails asking me to text STOP to them. I just refer them to my phone provider and they block them at source.

Voice texts tend to be when you have SMS'd (text messaged) a land line phone.

Normal circumstances the message starts with "Message from 0..7..8..0..7......." then the message read out by the computerised voice.

When I have them, normally it's my mother trying to text my mobile, and selecting the wrong name in her phone book.

Try typing the number into your mobile, and pressing call. If it's recognised, it'll flash up with the name almost instantly. If not, hang up before the call starts ringing.

ive had one of the "you can claim upto X ammount texts" ignored it as the latest accident although resulting in several days off work was a result of own stupidity (playing with knives and tape)
