Hi all, over the past year I have been trying to clean up OH's credit file, all seemed well and last week I called to cancel his subscription to Credit Expert, OH has numerous variations of a previous address and Credit Expert said that before I cancelled they would ensure that all possible info was visable and I should check back in a couple of days, which I did and low and behold there were Vodafone with a big fat default, which they issued in May 2010 - I called the CRA and the guy explained that the account was opened in 2004 and that a balance of £49 was outstanding since 2005... OH is no longer a vodafone customer, hasnt been for years and he doesnt ever remember having an outstanding bill with them... I cant believe that after all this work Vodafone have come along a sodded all up, for the sake of £49, I called and offered to pay, sure they wanted payment but say they cant remove default, we genuinley knew nothing of this, he has moved twice since 2004 and has never been contacted by Vodafone or any DCA to say they was money outstanding, I could scream right now...

Apologies for rambling on but I would be so grateful for your help and advice on this.

Thanks

Victoria

Hang fast Victoria, although there are no guarentees I'd suggest your OH contact the Vodafone Webteam that frequent this forum. Here are the details :-

Hi CAGlink31.gif members,

We thought it would be nice to introduce ourselves and to assure you all that our presence on CAGlink31.gif is with the very best of intentions.

Vodafone UK has recently introduced a dedicated Web Relations Team which is keen to seek out customers who’re having difficulties with their accounts and feel that they have no other place to turn to than CAG and other consumer forums and blogs.

Naturally, it’s not possible for us to help directly with account specific queries on CAG and as such we would encourage those members who feel we can help them to contact us privately and securely using the ‘Contact us’ form on the Vodafone website with your account details.

https://help.vodafone.co.uk/system/s...PARTITION_ID=1

When emailing us we would also ask that you either provide us with a link to your post or thread – if you’ve posted in another member’s thread please also provide your CAG username so that we can check what your query is – and state the code WRT135 within the body of your email to make sure it comes through to us.As soon as we’ve received your email we’ll endeavour to get back to you as quickly as possible.

Many thanks

Web Relations Team

Vodafone UK.

CAG members contacting us, add the code WRT135 in the subject line in order ensure that email gets routed into our queue.

after your OH does that, they'll be emailed a confirmation, this will have a reference number. Get your OH to post that here and things could still have a rosey outcome for you. :)

If in doubt, contact a qualified insured legal professional (or my wife... she knows EVERYTHING)

Or send a cheque or postal order payable to Reclaim the Right Ltd.

to

923 Finchley Road London NW11 7PE

Click here if you fancy an email address that shows you mean business! (only £6 and that will really help CAG)

If you can't donate, please use the Internet Search boxes on the CAG pages - these will generate a small but regular income for the site

Please also consider using the

C.A.G. Toolbar

Hmn good to see that you agree on something Raymond;)

I have lots of confidence in VF sorting this one.....which is more than can be said for our Orange response.

I trust you will be in agreement with my voiced concerns at their interventions upto now ?

Only when they start contributing financially to CAG. Let us not forget that it is their own customers that they've failed. UNTIL they arrive at CAG in desperation.

I am not talking about VF-I was referring to Orange lack of delivery.

Hi Victoria,

This sounds like a bit of strange one but I'm confident of being able to get to the bottom of things here.

Once your OH has emailed us his details could you update the thread with that reference number so I trace his account and see what's happened here?

On the parking side of things see here: Parking / Traffic Offences - The Consumer Forums for more help.

Take care and look forward to hearing from you again soon.
