Hi all, I have recently moved into a house in Newcastle Upon TYne currently on prepay meters.

Gas-EDF Energy

Electricity-Npower

Assuming they are on standard tariffs (i don't know exactly what they are on) are these 2 the cheapest provider? What do you think about converting to a credit meter (taking into account costs and difficulties people have had with conversion).

Thank you for all your help and advice in advance3!

The best thing to do is check out a price comparison site such as uswitch or moneysupermarket

They will give you the best options, also going with the same company for both utilities is usually the cheapest option as they will do a dual fuel discount

good luck :)
