i have a mortgage with GE money and fell into arrears due to company going bust.

after 2 years of tryin to get GE to help me they finally capitalised my arrears.

They also capitalised 3K worth of charges and additional interest.

My question is can they include charges and fees when they capitalise?

And if they cant how do i go about claiming it all back

My opinions are my own and not those of anyone else :D

You need to write to them asking for the charges to be refunded (i.e. removed from the account). This is a link to a letter I posted on another thread for claiming charges back. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=19220&d=1276847849

Send the letter by recorded delivery and keep a copy for yourself. Also check on the royalmail website a few days later to print off the signature receipt. Keep that safe with your copy of the letter.

If GE refuse to refund you can raise a complaint with the FOS who will intervene on your behalf. You will need a copy of your letter to send to the FOS.
