I think you have been given best advice, saviour. People on the forums can only advise they cant represent you in anyway:(

Someone put a link in one of your earlier posts for probono solicitors, speak to Citizens advice bureaux and yes, perhaps even your MP.

Whilst you have my sympathy for your family circumstances, at the end of the day this fella has lost a lot of money and regardless of what the bank did or didn't do, it was you who apparently spent the money so understand if he see's you as "getting off light"

however that doesn't mean they can try it on with you. You have a right not to be threatened just as he has a right to be repaid.

This "person" and his parasitic ambulance chasing friend are doing what they feel is necessary to scare you into paying this off as quickly as possible. better known as "leaning on you" or "intimidation" by making threats to have you arrested when they cannot do so they are in fact breaking the law themselves. This matter has been settled in the civil courts, it is simply now a case to settle the remedy (repayment of the loss) it would be a foolish policeman who took any interest in a resolved civil case.

I may be speaking out of turn here, but I would suggest trying to get a little angry and looking again at this "persons" behaviour

Since they are making it apparent that they will not come to an amicable settlement, my advice such as it is, would be to treat them as a pair of blowhards and ignore them, contact the courts and try to come to an affordable repayment plan. If this is £1 per month then so be it. if he/they give you grief, call the police.on them
