Hi All,

I have been slapped with a default by Net Usa who turn out to be Quick Quids parent company. I could really do without this on my credit file as I am making steps to get my credit file in a healthier order. Funnily enough it says the default is settled even thought I did not pay the outstanding £250 that was owed.

Any ideas how I can this removed and why they have stated its settled.

Quite strange.

If it is showing as settled they should have no reason not to get it removed.

defaults can only be removed by the company who regsitered it or by the credit ref agency.

Ask them for a copy of the default letter (which must be sent by law) if they dont send it to you write to whoever you have got a copy of your credit file from and tell them Net Usa did not go through the correct proceedures in registering it and you want it removed.

unfortunatley this may be a slow process

Thanks. I have recently started to pay a closer attention to my credit file and I have noticed that Natwest have put 4 defaults against my name when I only had 1 account with them. This was in dispute over bank charges and they want behind my back and defaulted the account. I paid it off with Cap quest like a month later, but thinking back I was as well not bothering to do it.
