anyone had any success with these clowns? i ask because i'm sure i've seen them posting on here somewhere, promising how honest and fair they are and quite seperate from collections. asked if they could look into the fact there is no executed credit agreement for the account. replied with the usual application form and a few recent statements to show how the balance on the account accrued. a load of boll*cks. this is to show whoever comes calling that they've looked into the dispute, that they take complaints seriously and look into them. i wonder just how many of those complaints have come to anything fruitful. let me guess.... none! if anyone on here can provide evidence to the contrary please do so.

The trouble is how do you exclude the DCA's.

They can lurk under the guise of anyone they wish to be and how can we tell from a screen name who someone really is.

The reality is that they have been around for a long while as i remember a poster a year or so ago having copies of posts produced at a CCJ hearing.

I suppose by having a recogniseable entity such as the one currently posing as the Lowell helpline, it may deter some people from posting but from our side of the coin, as long as we keep identifying details to a minimum, ie, exact amounts, locations, creditors etc, we can still get the help we need to beat them.

Of course I will pay you everything you say I owe with no proof.

zazens point of view is in my opinion somewhat blinkered I don't have a problem with them or any other DCA being here, firstly because it is not my forum I don't call the shots and secondly because any dca that play stupid games like Lowell sometimes do (I know from experience) will and rather quickly at that catch themselves out and in doing so expose themselves to a much wider ranging audience than that of the intended vicitms postbox/kitchen table.

 

To withold help/advice to others on this forum (Zazens stance) on the basis that until one side of the equation (in this instance Lowells) be barred/removed is by definition disingenuous even selfish and almost certainly defeats the true spirit and intention of Cag.

In posting on another thread a thought that struck me is that anyone tempted to respond to Lowel's posts here should be advised to start their email with "No debt is acknowledged to your company" as I suspect that responding to their posts by email could restart the SB clock.

 

Surely CAG was never intended to be used like this and to provide a facility for DCAs to trap the unwary?

Cag is an open forum, Lowells as pointed out by Belafat can and obviously do lurk here and more than likely pick up snippets where/when they can..so what difference will it make if they're allowed on the board in their correct format? Surely it will eventually expose them for the company that they are? Leopards don't change their spots and all that.

 

Interesting point re the acknowledgement of debt though.

i wrote to there complaints department twice and was totally ignored , in the end i reported them to consumer directs trading standard dept , still waiting to hear from lowells complaints dept though, all i get is more threatening letters ,

I think we are missing the point DCA **** like Lowells are really hurting I don't have figures but my mole tells me one particular well known DCA is really feeling the pinch of CAG.:cool:

 

The point is the DCA spend some of there time reading posts RESULT.

 

These morons should be collecting debts and they can't because CAG exists.

 

Let them read posts it speaks volumes.

 

Cattles won't be the only DCA going down, now that consumers have taken back control.

We live in an unmoderated country why should the net be any different?

Never send them an email.

yeh lets not make things personal, I dislike moderators but while this country has no free speech and pretty expensive solicitors its best to keep things professional.

 

I on the other hand see no problem insulting the low life DCA ****, pondlife, lying, cheating [FACT, Watchdog], threat monkeys staff at Lowells losers

seems to have opened a different can of worms. thanks for the replies. seems to be no denying that the resolution service that was so fervently promoted by Lowells in another thread has actually resolved nothing for anyone on here. just a gimmick. i had a pretty solid complaint - they, and the oc, had no enforceable credit agreement, so stop threatening me with legal action! for some strange reason they didn't see it that way. whether they should be allowed to post is another question. but there's no denying the fact they peddle misinformation on here in the hope of luring the unwary into contacting them with false promises. i don't suppose they'd entertain a CAGer on a debt collection forum - if they had one. then again , anyone can post on here under any guise. subject to the control of the moderators, that is.

 

anyway, anyone got a successful resolution from lowells?

 

lowells, if you are out there, can you explain why an application form with no prescribed terms, and no associated terms and conditions, was not deemed a valid dispute?
