I have contents insurance which covers accidental damage. My son who is in an electric wheelchair now lives with me as a result he has accidentaly taken lumps out of the wall and trashed the carpet.

My question is.... Does accidental damage cover this?

If it happened as a singular "incident" yes, if it's over a period of time, i.e. many knocks, probably no, unless you would want to pay an excess for each time it happened.

My excess is Zero

Try it with them, you just have to prove each time was an accident, the carpets maybe not, but the walls, have a go.

Good luck

Carpets are more often going to be contents than buildings. Grey area tho - worth checking to be sure.

Good point about the cover, schoolboy error there.

Carpets will be contents, unless stuck down.
