Hiya,

Like many others, (sigh) this is my first post here because our vehicle has been targeted by Parking Eye.... for a short overstay...

The car park is a FREE car park for a max. of 3 hours.

Luckily I had the sense to have a nose round the internet first with regards to the Parking Charge Notice that has been issued, as I had previously only seen and been issued with a Penalty Charge Notice, issued by the local council (or I am aware the Police can issue these also.)

Having climbed down from the annoyed stage, I have found out SO much about the difference between a Penalty Charge Notice and a Parking Charge Notice, in so that you must react to a Penalty Charge Notice issued by the local council or the Police, but that a Parking charge Notice is in a world of its own....

I will now appoint myself as a new member of the ignore club and will provide updates as and when they happen, Thanks to the person who has shown tickets 1, 2 & 3 at least i know what to expect from the company.

I note from various sites / posts here that the registered person shown on the DVLA log book is under no obligation to reveal who the driver was, and that it is Parking Eye's problem to identify the driver, as it is the driver who allegedly formed this contract with them to park on the private land.

IF (and I know its a big IF) they try to take it to a court, do I have to be advised of the date / location / time etc within plenty of time to allow arrangements to attend, or could they try to slip it through by using a court as far away as possible from the home address hoping that you cant / wont attend and that they hope they will win by default due to a non show by the accused? Or could they try to send a letter stating the court action was held in your absence etc and you was found guilty / not guilty? So we are now wanting payment of £ x amount now.

I have chewed this over many times, I have made my decision that I will ignore and sit back and wait for their actions etc...

Letter 1 [CHECK] RECEIVED & COMPLETELY IGNORED.

Hi there, relax and continue to ignore.

You are correct to note that you are under no obligation to inform them who the driver is.

As already noted, PE stay away from court as they know what the outcome will be :) Get ready for some 'threatograms' but they will give up after 3/4.

Parking Eye monitor the local supermarket and send out their waste paper hoping to catch the unwary. [EDIT]

In spite of all that is stated on the letters/invoices you have/will received all you have is a piece of paper whose only value is that which the recyclers would put on it.

Parking Eye do not do court as they already know the outcome and this does not fit their business model :D [EDIT] In the highly unlikely event they did take it to court then for the amount it would be small claims which is nothing to be scared of - no judge with a black cap :p

Ignore works well with Parking Eye and keeps their silly little letters to a minimum

WOW, they are arriving thick and fast....

Now in receipt of the Final Notice.

This must be important, as it is in huge black lettering and they now tell me if payment is not forthcoming soon they will have no other option other than instruct their debt collection agency to secure immediate

payment.... ooooooohhhh !

Followed by the usual consequences of legal proceedings / CCJ / and a bailiff to remove goods....

Letter 3 [CHECK] RECEIVED & COMPLETELY IGNORED.

I do believe I am getting the hang of this now......

Kiptower - Here is the website mentioned and it appears to have been setup by disatisfied Morrisons customers

http://morrisonsreigatecarpark.wordpress.com/received-a-ticket-what-to-do-next/

Worzel - looks like you have missed out on some of their junk mail or perhaps Parking Eye have got the message quicker than other PPC's i have encountered - have you not had DC or Solicitors letters ?
