Hi, my name is Stephen. I moved into a flat a few years ago. Things were great until the new neighbours moved in. Apart from the constant noise and their friend urinating all over the stairs I have constantly been flooded out with their leaking shower the last 2 years.

I have phoned the council a perpetual amount of times and to no avail i am fogged off about this disturbance. I do know: when i mention their property is bought it seems to go quite and not action is taken.

Would my best bet be seeking legal advice or perhaps citizen advice bureau? My bathroom is completely ruined with the water damage.

I have had enough of talking to these people and the council their is no end product and this is effecting my health. thanks for and help and suggestions and apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forum.

stephen.

Hi Stephen so are you saying that you bought your flat or the others have but that its in a council block ?

Will move your thread.

Have you put anything to them in writing ?

Hi Martin. Yes it's a council block. No the flat above is bought i am renting my property at the moment for the last 5 years infact. No i have called the council out numerous times and have spoke to these people but, i have been brushed off really by both parties(told it will be sorted) never has ceased from when they moved in really tbh.

Ok you need to be putting something in writing to the Council.

I think once you do that they will be more quick to respond, and you will have some actual proof that they have been informed.

You shouldnt be having to endure all this-their behaviour on the stairwell may not be so easy to prove-but the water damage should not be too difficult.

Is there any Res and ten association in the area ?

I would begin by compiling a list of the dates you have reported this (as far as you can remember)

And send a letter of complaint.

We can help you to put something together if need be.
