Yes I saw that.

Its very strange-I did not expect to see BT announcing price increases-its not as if theres no competition in the market is it ?

Just like the recent announcement yesterday that the TV licence fee could be on the way down !

How many people would ever have contemplated that ?

Thanks for the link, I did not renew my contract despite a few calls asking if id like to.

 

The reason being so I could move when I wished.

 

Anyway looks like this will force my hand specially as I do not like the paragraph below.

 

Customers who sign up to a year-long contract upfront will avoid the increased charges.

Interesting how the government abolished the 50p tax and now they are going to bump it up by 50p.

Problem with BT, like many big PLC's they have lived off their names, 'we are big, nothing can happen to us, we are indistructable, the people love us, they did not move with the times, eventually the times and competition has caught up with them, they have been ripping people off for decades.

My last quarterly bill was £236 thats just for phone and internet.

Yes its quite a coincedence.

But as more TSPs have introduced bundles and these so called plans..its increasingly difficult to keep up to speed with the best deals.

Things are changing so fast.

It used to be the mobile market that was difficult to keep up with.

Now the home phone/internet/TV markets are worse.

I'm paying £27 a month for phone & broadband with BT

I am on TT only recently gone to them

Internet and phone is not bad price-all my family on it £6.99 for phone and internet plus £11.75 for Bt line.

Got a freeview box so no charges for that.
