I think the rail fare system is disgusting. How can it be cheaper to split a ticket? (google ticket splitting and you'll find lots of ways to lower your fares)

 

Also the machines in the Doncaster station recently stopped you being able to "Split" your ticket (thats the only one I travel from so cannot comment on others :p), so you have to buy the tickets on the train!

 

Still, if you pay and agree a price, then I don't think you have any redress :(
