In a part-time teaching job based on pay per actual hour of 'contact time' (teaching), and no salary is earned outside term-time, can the employer insist on holiday / annual leave being taken during half-terms (which, like weekends, the teacher doesn't get paid for)?

Isn't it the case that annual leave normally must be taken from within the actual scheduled days of work and not from weekends (assuming one doesn't work weekends) or any other periods when one wouldn't be working for that employer anyway?

Hello again peachiebird.

Isn't this already in one of your other threads? From experience on this forum, having mulitple threads is unlikely to help either you or us and if this can be added to your thread I personally think it would be better. The site team will move it if you click on the red triangle at the bottom of your post and ask them.

Have we helped you at all with all your questions and are you getting anywhere with this please?
