Hi

My apologies if this matter has been covered elsewhere, and if it has, then please point me in the right direction.

I had a letter from a solicitors called Christopher Pinnion & Co.

Basically demanding a payment of £50 to clear outstanding arrears within 7 days or the Judgement order may be enforced.

According to their references the original lender was Halifax, and the owed client is Tessera Portfolio.

I am unaware of a judgement order, however about five/six years ago, I went through a bad patch when I came out of the army, I lost my marriage, kids and home, not to mention having a breakdown. So basically I haven't got a clue what Pinnions are on about.

I can deal with DCA's after seeing brilliant advice off the other forums, however I am a bit more concerned with dealing with a solicitors.

Any advice is gratefully received.

Exactly the same write RD ''requesting all the information and stating that you do not acknowledge any debt to them and CCA request just as with a DCA.

also this sound like a statute barred debt or at least very close so do not acknowledge any liability. I have seen so much of this with military colleagues and can sympathise with how things get lost and forgotten.

Just simply state the fact as you see them. Tessera are base in Southend Essex strangely close to the credit card processing building. Pinnions seem to be a multidiscipline law practice.>try the above and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for your prompt reply, I'll give it ago.

I have also had a letter off Capquest and phone calls. I sent a letter from this website stating I will no longer accept the calls due to harassment along with me requesting what details they have on a so called debt.

They are now asking to confirm my previous addresses, am I under obligation to provide this?

Again, any advice gratefully received.
