(Ex Vanquis and one I have been disputing for the last 3 years )

 

 

Goes on to say

"Alternatively we may be able to offer you an attractive repayment plan which will enable you to repay your outstanding balance within 5 years"

 

What ??? and be faced with another 5 years of monthly threatograms ...no thanks

 

Actually its stat barred in a few months in any case.

The best one was the lottery a few months back-allowed you the chance to win your account-anyone remember that one ?

Who was it who did the lottery? That's one of the silliest ideas I've ever heard - even by DCA standards.

 

Now, if I won the lottery (assuming that I'd have enough spare money to do so), I might have to buy a DCA. Then, tell all the staff that they're unceremoniously fired in particularly curt and direct terms - oh, the satisfaction.

I've also had a 30% discount offer from Cabot. Now, let's work this out. They paid Goldfish about 5%-10% for an account that had a face value of about £3,300 (actually is was £0 but that's another story). Since then, they've added about £500 in interest and now they are offering me 30% off an account with a balance of £3,800, so they make £2,700 for doing nothing.

 

Not bad business if you can get into it.

 

By the way, if I won the lottery and could buy a DCA, I'd flog all of the accounts back to the debtors at what I paid for them if they wished to purchase.

Nice offer from my good friends at Vanquis.........

 

I have also been fighting them for the last year over payment protection insurance that I never asked for plus charges and ove-limit fees at 50% APR. After getting them to admit that PPI was never requested, I have issued a small claim in Scotland that is sceduled to call before the court in mid August.

 

I am also going for compensation and damages since they have posted defaults on my credit file, using the Durkin judgement.

My Vanquis account was opened in May 2005.

 

I did not address te data protection issue but have hit them with damages to my credit rating (Durkin).

Think mine was around 2004.They failed to comply with my SAR-not sending everything.

Next thing I knew they sold the account to CABOT-who are in breach of a CCA request.

Now you mention it, their responde to my SAR was very poor, no statements and just a few screen prints. They did however show 3-4 calls a day to my mobile over a two month period.......
