Welcome to the site.

I would guess that it would depend on the nature of the work that you have done, and who would be checking.

Is there any particular reason that you are asking ?

Will move your thread to the appropriate forum.

If you were paid into your bank account, then yes.

If you were paid PAYE, then yes.

If you gave your real name and address, and DOB, then yes.

If your car is used for work, and is registered to you, then yes.

If you get reported by the person who paid you, then yes.

If your neighbours get annoyed with you and report you, then yes.

If you are self employed, and are registered anywhere, then yes. If you advertise, then yes. If you use an agency, then yes.

Even if you get paid cash, the answer can be yes, as employers are required to submit lists of people paid during the year.

Basically, it is pretty hard to be certain of not being caught working.
