Good Morning

I am wondering if someone could help me here. I have al old debt with a Bank of Scotland credit card. The account was passed to Blair Oliver and Scott who I contacted by letter and asked them to supply me with a copy of my CCA agreement. It duly turned up weeks later completely un-enforceable. It was then passed to other debt collecting agencies. Then all went quiet.

I checked my Bank Account yesterday and saw that an Amount of £42.00 wastaken from my Account. I contacted the Bank and they informed me that it was Blair Oliver and Scott who had taken this money and were well within their rights to do so without informing me beforehand.

I have got no idea what to do next. I do not know when they will take anymore money, how much they will take etc. I did not even think that they still had the debt.

Please help.

BOS are bank of scotland.

seems like thety've used their off setting rule here.

how old is this CC debt.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I would get what they call a parachute account, check that the bank you are chosing has no links with BOS and transfer your balance, all your dd's and get your salary etc paid into it.. That way they cant take anything else unless you chose to pay it.

Advice given is my opinion only, I am not a legal or financial expert (far from it).

The problem is with my credit history I was just wondering how easy it it to open a basic bank account - ie where wages are just paid in and I can withdraw.

Any suggestions.

There are a few you can choose from.

The most popular I know of are the standard/basic accounts from:

RBS (key account) - RBS Personal banking | Apply for a Key Account

Natwest (step account) - NatWest - Get our Step account here

Coop (standard account) The Co-operative Bank | Standard current account

Yorkshire bank (ready cash) - Readycash - Current Accounts - Personal Banking - Yorkshire Bank

None of the above are linked to the BOS/Halifax/LLoyds group. I have used the above three and had no problems.
