fredrickson internation (pipex)

Hi all,

 

can anyone give me some advice please, i have been reading up on this collection company, and it seem im not the only one in this situation.

 

Back in feb 2007 i moved house, and contacted Pipex/homecall to arrange to be transfered to new address, they where very un-helpfull so i said to them that i will cancel my broadband/phone etc with them, and canceled it as normal, letter, cancel DD at bank etc.

Anyway, few weeks ago, i got a strange letter through post asking if this was my address and to contact Bryan Carter ref a debt with pipex.

First of all, how they found my new adress has baffled me, and second what debt. I ignored this letter, and last week got another letter from Fredrickson demanding payment of £149 for the pipex debt.

 

Now i have no idea if i have kept any of the letters about caneling etc any more, and since moving could be anywhere.

 

After reading many post about this company, it seems my first point of call is to send them a `Prove it` letter which i down loaded the template.

Is this right, or should i go a different route?

i'd go no route at all and ignore them

 

if pipex wanted their money they would of asked for it years ago.
