Hi FDAO.

Just reading your thread.

Can you tell me roughly how much there has been in charges. The supreme court judgment only applied to bank charges, so it may be an idea to look at reclaiming the credit card charges instead of going down the CCA route which is rather more complicated.

Hi Caro,

I am working on that one, have attempted it, but need a proper clear run at it, plus they did not send me all the info on the SAR, so takin things one step at a time instead of tryin to understand it all! cos i don't!! You are right it is complicated!

Although I don't think that you should provide an I&E for BOS, I do think that you should do one for yourself. Work out a budget including all your income and all your expenditure for yourself and your family. Leave off the debts to begin with so you can see what you have left over. When you have done that, see what is left to pay off any debts to make sure that you can really afford what you are paying.

Stop talking to these people on the phone. Make it clear that you dispute the amount that they want from you which should stop them taking action against you.

Send the telephone harassment letter too. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/resources/templates-library/52-harassment/135--harassment-by-telephone-response-letter-

Time for you to take control of the situation.;-)

update - had a letter from Halifax this morning and it seems that they are admitting that they had misold the PPI and they have passed it to another team to work out what I am owed and it will be credited to my credit card!

I am gob smacked - will update the post when I know how much they will be refunding.

I now need to steer them towards my other credit card, as at the moment they have only looked into one.

lets see what happens next. :-)

hello there, yes sent the SAR, but their reply has crossed with my workings out as I still have my head in that one.

I will be thankful for anything as its better than nothing, and at least it something that I dont need to find.

Perhaps I am looking at this the wrong way?

Good start feely, and good advice from dotty. Work out for yourself how much you think it should be including interest, and don't settle for anything less.

Don't forget there's still the little matter of the charges.;-)

Afternoon or evening as it now is, I have spent the day working out my PPI plus the purchase interest from the date it was added up until the interest was frozen added the 8% interest from the date the PPI + Interest was added up until the interest was frozen and wow, if I get anything like that figure back I will be amazed.

question is = how do i know if I have my workings right?

the task for this evening is to work out the charges, I have used the compound interest calculater that was kindley sent to me from dx100, have I worked things our correctly?

My PPI calcs seem so much??
