Many people are drawn in by large colourfull adverts and believe that they will be getting the best deal possible. Not always so.

Within the last month or so, some main dealers were offering their marque at very competitive prices but Clark's wanted £1500 more for the same cars. When pressed they adopted their normal stance ie. dead silence.

Wonder how many people paid this extra just because they did not check the web.

Their Motability advert on TV has been reported to the Advertising Standards Authority for inaccuracies.

Then many people are being foolish. It's not as if the price was hidden away and it's up to the buyer to shop around. Why is it assumed that AC were pricing theirs higher and not the dealers reducing their prices.

How deep does this comparison go, were both the dealer and AC quizzed on what you get for your money, which would have been a fairer way to make a comparison.

Saying 'some' dealer were selling for less suggest that 'some' dealers were selling higher, so a wider picture needs to be looked at and not just the sticker on the windscreen.
