Vexatious unauthorised searches by Mackenzie hall & Lowell

Lowlife & the Kilmarnock Cowboys seem to be employing a new dirty tricks ploy

they have searched my Equifax records 11 times in a few months some times

twice in one day.

I have no liability to either company and have only contacted them on behalf of others I have been trying to help.

I have sent complaints to Equifax ,OfT & Csa and to the CEO 's of both companies.

Does any one think there is a need to report this behaviour to the police as someone has mentioned such actions are harassment?

We all need to check CRA data as I did not find out about until I applied for an overdraft with my Bank with whom I have an exemplary record.

Please be aware Nat West and RBS use Equifax for all credit references.

All the searches correspond with the dates of my letters,perhaps they have had a fit of pique as I have done them out over £23000 in the last year.

Has anyone else had a similar happenings?

Strangely enough have been going through my Equifax Report today, and I too have noticed several searches by MH and Lowells, in the last couple of months.

 

I have dealing with these people, but all accounts with them are in dispute and I have not been contacted recently, so they have no reason to be routing through my CRA files.

 

I too am going to complain to anyone and everyone I can, enough of these complaints and someone will have to do something (won't they:confused:)

Hi Senior just had a thought as they have posted the search with the words

outstanding debt and I don't have any is this defamation and libel and worth a crack through the county court, don't have to pay fees due to age and income?

Always worth a try, nothing ventured etc. Make sure you have a paper copy of what they have put as it could mysteriously dissappear!!

Thanks have a full print out in date order and all the copies of my letters on behalf of others searches all within 2-3 days of my letters.

don't forget to cc in the CRA as joint Data Controller.

Good proof then, there are several threads on here were Caggers are in various stages of litigation against the CRAs so the more the merrier if you are happy to do it, whats' to loose;)

I have had advice re the 11 unauthorised searches and have sent rd the following threatogram of my own saying I am going to take legal action for the

harassment and embarrassment and financial loss caused I WAS ADVISED TO ASK FOR 5K. BUT OFFER TO SETTLE OUT OF COURT.

Lowells have done an unauthorised search of my credit file in the past couple of months too..I have no dealings with them, and presumed they had bought an account off somebody else, however i've heard nothing from them...i have though suddenly received something from Cabot (who haven't done a search) about my Sainsbury's Account (which is still showing as Sainsbury's on my credit file although Cabot assure me its now their's because it has a letter of assignment clause on the back!

 

I get very cross when these DCA's do sneaky checks on credit files...i know haven't given them permission to do so, and in the absence of any cca agreement they can't prove they have permission..

Hi Duffers Mum report Lowells to Oft I 've done this for Mackenzie hall and Lowell

as have others OFT have acknowledged that they are ''closely monitoring their fitness to hold a credit licence'' so the more reports the better.

Brigadier, I will certainly do that I have just asked Experian to remove it, yes its unrecorded so only I can see it, but they don't have my written permission to search my credit file so they can jolly well remove it! (Waves to the guest....coooeeee)

Be sure to do a letter before action, Brigadier.

 

Play it by the book and give them a chance to remove the references and pay you suitable compensation first, upwards of £1,000 per search.

Get hold of Alan Stewart at East Ayrshire Trading Standards and send him the evidence of Mackenzie Halls wrongdoing... he is the person dealing with them and the more evidence he has the better.

Thanks Donkey B have written to John McConnachie CEO with that.

Just spoken to Trading Standards in Kilmarnock very helpful seems like they have

an officer who specialises in MH Mr. Stewart by name.

very hopeful of a result.

A little progress to report had a call today from Kilmarnock trading standards

investigating officer agrees that 12 searches can only be described as vexatious.

Kilmarnock Kowboys have not responded at all so far.

Interesting. I have checked my credit report and see that Lowells have been searching regularly. In fact there are 16 searches by them (4 of which were on the same day!) in the last 10 months.
