I thought as much, but this one looked more convincing than most. At least it wasn't in Comic Sans like some DCA letters I've had!! Surely calling yourself HL Solicitors is illegal if you're not a law firm?

Haven't looked at my credit file lately, but I plan to soon.

Bank charges reclaimed:

£2160 from First Direct.

£415 + costs from HFC/Beneficial

£409 + costs + interest from RBS (£544.39)

You can buy one for £1.00 as well!! It is at http://www.hllc dot co dot uk/online-letter.php

They are selling these so that these insects can use it to try to scare uninformed people

Letters Before Action (LBA)

With an extensive library of both Consumer and Commercial LBA templates HL can provide you with a low cost collections letter solution.

At only £1.00 + vat for a standard LBA you would be hard pressed to find better value for money!

LBA’s are sent on the day you instruct us and can be followed up with a telephone collection service for maximum impact.

HL is happy to discuss mail house production of LBA’s to enable you to integrate them with your internal collections strategy - just ask for details!

Okay, so now my understanding is that HL is a solicitors, but they do a sideline in scary looking LBAs for DCAs. Have I got this right? If so, I should expect to receive an LBA from HL Solictors in the next few days...

Even if you do receive a LBA, it is just an online letter printed out by the DCA and mailed to you. Safe to file under IGNORE!

Worth updating that since my last post I have received nothing. I was kind of expecting a phoney LBA sometime in November.
