Dear Lee_Vodafone

I am just writing to ask you a question about my vodafone contract deal, I am on 300 minutes and unlimited texts for £15 a month, I also got a Sony Ericsson C510. I am really sick of the phone, I do not like it. I have only been on my contract for a few months, is there any chance that I can get a different phone without buying a pay as you go mobile? I would really appreciate the help. Thank You..

The answer is - you can use any phone you like, your contract is based on the SIM not the handset. If your question is, "I hate the phone I got, can I sawp it for another I might like better at no cost?"

You know what the answer is, right? :)

Everyone else in similar situations box it up, sell it on an auction site as 'almost new', and then buy another from the same site (making sure it is unlocked for their own SIM). Of course, it helps to fully check it on in the flesh at a shop first, rather than decide based on the picture/catalogue alone.

Thank you for that message. But I mean is there any chance I could get a new phone like an early upgrade, for example getting a blackberry off the vodafone website but not paying for it in full, like could they split the overall bill of the blackberry into my £15 a month contract charges?

Hi Ste-Burke,

I can appreciate your quandry here and while I can't promise anything I'm happy to take a look at your account to see what, if anything, can be done.

Although I don't think it'd be possible for us to supply you with a BlackBerry on a £15.00 (inc. VAT) per month package could you email your details to me by following the steps in our pinned thread http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/telecoms-mobile-fixed-internet/213340-vodafone-webteam-customers-problems.html?

Once you've sent it you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this so I can make sure we get it and get back to you as soon as possible?

Kind regards,

Lee
