Hi guys hope you can help.

My story starts 2 months or so ago and regards the company i worked for at the time,i had worked for the company for over 12 months when they run into financial difficulty, but was paid on time my flat wage (not my bonuses)and was assured the money i was owed was forthcoming.

In the meantime the wages became sporadic half wages on due day the rest 4 days later, then they stopped the boss gave the excuse he was waiting on funds being realised and the wages would be paid half on friday half on tuesday of each week, which i could live with.

Then the bombshell ,we were told by the boss that while he had tons of contracts he didnt know when he could pay us next,as i have a mortgage i told him i would have to leave to pay my bills,he assured me that he would pay me as soon as the funds were available.

Since then i have learned that the V.A.T have closed him down and he will not be able to pay us himself, but he has assured us that the goverment will pay us what we are owed,i am very dubious about this and would be suprised if any money comes my way,to add insult to injury he is still trading under an assumed name.

Where do i stand?
