In my experience, they always insist you send them a financial breakdown of your income and outgoings, and assets/liabilities. The CAB also recommended to me once that I do this and use it to negotiate a monthly payment with my creditors.

Doesn't giving the DCA so much information actually weaken your position rather than strengthen it? What information are you legally obliged to provide? Any difference between DCAs and OCs in this respect?

As far as I know, only a Court can ask you such personal financial details. A DCA has NO right to them - it's none of their business.

I just tell them the monthly/weekly payment that I believe is sustainable and realistic and they can either like it or lump it!

I'm sure you'll get loads of good advice from fellow CAGgers!

Impecunious! :)

In a word, they are entitled to nothing from you, it is like me lending you a tenner then a week later saying by the way please tell me how much you earn and what you spend it on, would you tell me??
