Credit card co have applied for nan interim charging order, account in my sole name but house is in joint names. Can they do this

Depends on the circumstances that led up to this.

 

Also the debt is in a single name and your house is in joint names - makes a big difference.

In the hearing for finalising the CO that HFC took out over my house the Judge was very clear in saying it was NOT an order for sale and in fact it was effectively an interest free loan that would be payable at some distant time in the future:D

 

So don't panic, have a read, and post any questions, I am sure that there are more qualified people on CAG who can give you further advise for your particular situation.

Which is it?
