Normally, we do not keep too much money bin an account. What's the point of letting Lloyds have free use of it? However, we usually have enough transactions running through the acount to disguise the true amount left at any one time. Lately however, we have had very little in transactions or cash in the account and something has come to light.

One transaction over the weekend left 99p in the account, yet according to the Lloyds online statement, nothing was available.

The pension payment came in and was accounted for. This left a balance of £8.64 showing when everything was accounted for yet only £5.64 showed up as available funds.

This leaves £3 available funds unaccounted for? £3 does not seem to be a lot of money but if you sit on £3 from every Lloyds customer then you have access to an awful lot of interest free funds.

Any comments? Is this worth taking further?
