My girlfriend has contacted Barclays to get a settlement figure on her graduate loan.

The figure came back at approx £2K. This figure includes the PPI for the full 6 year term.

My thinking was that the PPI wouldn't be paid on the portion of the loan that we pay of early. Eg. we are paying off the loan 1 year early, so we shouldn't be charged PPI for this final year.

Is my thinking correct? Are Barclays trying to pull a fast one or this how PPI works?

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy,

Not an expert on PPI but was GF working fulltime when the Grad Loan was taken out.

Just wondering if PPI was appropriate.

dunno about not getting a rebate.

tbh i'd put in a claim for the WHOLE of the PPI first under mis-selling rules, then settle the loan after its refunded.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
