I posted the comments that you was asking for yes-but read further to be sure it was a justified response.

I then posted again yes I dont see any problem there....I could easily have added it to my other...but I am not here just looking at this thread-I was also dealing with private messages and emails.

I dont think I need to justify anything-the message was clear but obviously you thought differently and continue the debate.

For clarification surreyguy, your posts could be considered contrary to 3.5 a) in that they could be construed as "personal abuse, or incitement intended to cause disruption within a thread". They certainly do not contribute in a constructive way to helping the OP with the problem in hand.

Kindly stick to the matter in hand and keep opinions such as the above to yourself.

Hi Sweetiepie.

After the icu all the information will go to a decision maker to decide if you have recived a overpayment of benefit.

This will take a bit longer than the week they said at the interview. If the decision maker decides that on the balance of probabilities you have been living together they will send you out a letter telling you the amount off overpaid benefit.

It all depends on the amount off overpayment what sort of action the dwp will take next.

When i went for my appeal for a overpayment the appeal panel ask me questions like

Did my alleged partner pay and of my household bills.

Did he buy any shopping for my household.

Did he cut my grass.

Did he drive my car.

Did he ever take my kids to school.

Did he ever do any diy in my home.

Did any of my friends family or neighbours consider us to be a couple.

Was there any proof of a sexual relationship.

So while the dwp have a paper trail leading from this man to you at the minute it seems to be all they have. There is more to a person living together than letting someone use your address to get some letters sent from work etc.

If you have not been living with this man all you have been guilty of is been a bit naive regarding letting him use your home address. Also the dwp will be hoping if they put enough pressure on you that you will admit to benefit fraud.

I was told my money would be stopped if the desision maker decided i had been living with a partner. They cannot just say oh within a week a persons money will be stopped they will need to give you a valid reason.

If your money does get stopped you can appeal the desision or you can start a fresh claim and appy for crisis loans to tide you over.

thank you st24 for your reply. I think the interviewer was trying to scare me when i went for my iuc to see if he could get me to admit i was in the wrong maybe that s why he tried the one of you will lose your benefits by the end of the week tactic.

I read through the list of questions and the majority of my answers would be no the question about my car came up in my interview because he is named on my insurance policy but i have more than one named person on my policy and none of the named people stay with me. i have them on my policy as my son s health is not good and he can take ill at any time and i may need someone to collect my car from where i have had to leave it if he gets taken to hospital by ambulance this has happend on a number of occasions.

During the inteview i told them to speak to my neighbours about who stays in my house i was told they would not do this as this is heresay. My neighbours are willing to provide statements to say no man lives with me.

Another thing that is confusing me is his estranged wife had an iuc 2 days after me about living with the same person why do they not just invite him in for an interview this would surely clear this up

Steven.

Whilst your input is appreciated , i think your post is slightly late.....you may have noticed that the "matter" has already been dealt with by Martin.

Thanks for your time but i think one site guide pointing out the rules is "punishment" enough...dont you ?
