Moorcroft Put Collection Card Through My Door Please Help

I hve just returned home to find that moorcroft have put a card through my door regarding an old so called british gas bill from over 2 years ag??

 

this debt was with westcott then with geog parker bourne and now with moorcroft

 

 

they have not sent me any letters out regarding this debt before not from moorcroft anyways is this the way they are working now to stop people from replying firstly.

 

i have sent them the prove it letter and the dont knock on my door letter is there anything else that i can send to them????

 

just scared that he will come back he has put a telephone number on the card but no account number will this e mail hold the wolves off

Are you sure that anyone actually visited your home?

 

Some of these cards are very clever. They say they tried to visit to speak to you and would you phone on this number.

 

But they probably did not do that. These collection cards are posted to you. So the only person that visited was the postman.

 

So the advice is to ignore them and wait for proper correspondence.

I HAVE LOCKED THE DOOR i have emailed the letters through as i think that they have changed tactic now and not giving people prior warning to visits?? isnt this a breach ??? not advising its been passed to a different collector

I would wait until they send you a proper letter and may be send the following. They may have sent some around, as they are not sure whether you live there still.
