Hi,i had an arrangement last year with barclaycard to pay off to get me under my balance,£10 a month...it did nothing..then we flip to the start of feb 2010

i call, its over still! (my limit is 300) so she said when i pay 30 then ill be under the balance,so i pay it.and now its £314.so i called them asked to complain then they hung up! Whats the best way to go,ignoring them will only make the limit increase then when it does to dca paying more neway! so i need them to revoke the interest charges or whatever they are doing!

Hi Executed,

Have you reclaimed any penalty charges which were applied to the a/c.

Was there any mis-sold PPI on the a/c.

If you don't have all your old statements to check for penalties, send off a SAR for the last 6 years' statements. Reclaiming these should reduce the a/c balance and, if you claim interest at BC's contractual rate, you may even clear the debt and have some change left over.

If there are no charges which you can reclaim, then you could approach BC using CCCS or similar body aksing them to suspend interest so you have a chance of reducing the debt.
