Notice of assignment

Dca saying to me that as they dont own the debt, then they dont have to send a notice of assignment, anotherwords they are saying they dont have to send anything at all.

 

Now I thought there had to be a letter from oc stating who passed to and letter from dca saying passed to them?

 

My point is they are arguing it is okay to send first correspondence mentioning court and expect a person just to pay them. I wrote if a sranger in the street asked you for money would you pay?

 

Getting nasty as Oc saying account being recalled to them and dca saying we are suprised the account is apparantly to be closed. Seems oc hasnt infomed them at all.

Surely if notice of assign is not needed, does that also not give them the right to threaten they will take me to court, isnt that the choice of the oc?

Got myself confused again:confused: I know the dca dont own the debt but I am questioning their right to contact me on behalf of oc and ask for money and mention court with no authorisation.

they can contact you all they like they can not however register defaults or searches on your credit file as they do not own the debt. They can ask all they want for money just tell them to do one.

Write to them asking for proof/ownership of the debt. If they write back without complying to your request refer them to your previous letter. If they continue to harass you by phone send them letter regarding harassment.
